Delayed Freshman Fifteen

Four-plus weeks at home has done to my waistline what four months in Cambridge did not. Being in a real, functioning kitchen is lovely.

Today's Brunch: Avocado Spread on Cheese Bread (yes, yes such a creative title...)

Ingredients
bread
1 green onion
1 garlic clove
cheese (Kraft shredded cheddar used here)
1 avocado
1 lime
sour cream
black pepper
salt
Some other ingredients that would be awesome: cilantro (didn't have any but would have definitely added), spicy peppers, tomatoes, onions

1. Preheat oven to 200. Slice bread thinly and lay on a tray. Top each slice with cheese. Bake.
2. Cube avocado, slice onion, chop garlic. Put in a bowl















3. Add lime juice, salt, and pepper to taste. I like lots of lime, so I used about 2/3 of my lime.
4. Take a fork (real > plastic in this case) and begin mashing. Target those avocado cubes. As chunk or smooth as you like, and then mix.














5. Add a side of sour cream. Remove cheese bread from oven. Spread it, dip it, whatever. It's tasty.
